I am an amateur photographer living in South Central Michigan. Yes, that's me standing on a dirt mound in the above logo. Without the broad vistas and raging rivers that grace much of our country, I've learned to appreciate and photograph the smaller, more detailed elements of our environment. I seek out splashes of color, shadow details, and local wildlife that grace our unspoiled woodlands and lakes.
I shoot digital, film and large format film cameras. Currently I am using the Nikon D800e and the Leica M9P, and have just begun my journey of rediscovering the joys and frustrations of the Leica M3 from 1957. I also use the Chamonix 5x8 view camera; although much less often these days.
